Montreal: Justice Québec [Le ministère de la Justice] has appointed Certified Immigration Consultant, Garreth Westwood, as Commissaire à l’assermentation or a Commissionaire for Oaths with jurisdiction for Quebec, English-Canada, and Tous les pays du monde (worldwide).
Commissaires function similarly to Notaries Public in that they can witness an affiant's signature on a Statutory Declaration or Affidavit; they can administer Oaths and Solemn Affirmations; and can assist with the certification of legal filings.
Justice Québec has appointed Mr. Westwood as Commissaire due to his focus on Quebec Immigration and has awarded him worldwide jurisdiction due to Nexus Advisory's network of offices in Canada, the U.S., and now Mexico. As such, Mr. Westwood is now able to provide in-house certification of signatures on legal papers he has drawn up in order to strengthen an immigration application. Moreover, as the Federal Government of Canada recognises a Quebec commissaire for the purposes of administering oaths, Mr. Westwood will be able to assist clients who are planning to relocate to any province in Canada.
Nexus Advisory is committed to providing our clients with constantly improving services and is pleased to offer Commissaire services to our clients at no cost.
